SEX AND THE CITY fans should anticipate a lot of computer effects in the upcoming film. The SATC girls (or perhaps women is a more age appropriate term) will not be fighting 10-foot tall Persians with digitally enhanced abs, nor will they be traveling across NYC in a bat-mobile. No, the effects in this movie are of a much more subtle type.
As executive producer, Sarah Jessica Parker has spent a large portion of the movie’s budget on digital airbrushing, according to sources. Parker has also ordered that soft-filter lenses be used during filming to conceal wrinkles. Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and SJP, all in their 40s and 50s, are not only having their crow’s feet digitally removed, but also imperfections on their “legs, arms and necks.”
Ah, sweet vanity at it’s finest.
